Indoctrination, Day Care, or Just More Pay for Teachers?

President Obama wants the kids in more hours of school. Why? Kids in other countries that spend less time in school score higher on math and science tests. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33054056/ns/us_news-education

Couple quick thoughts:

Kids will just be in day care. Scores won’t improve.
High math and science scores aren’t the nirvana some people make them out to be. The arts, travel, play, time with family all play a rich tradition in this countries greatness.
